Anyone thinking/working on content migration from other platforms.

I wonder if it is even worth it, but as I close BitcoinHackers.org would be cool to have that content come here, maybe using the BitcoinHacker as the key author for each entry with attribution and all.

This would also be massive spam as it comes in.

But on the other hand people don’t wan to lose their old content. This also applies to twitter.

Just food for thought.

noooo rip relays

Not a fan of spamming a relay with old notes just to archive them either.

We could have a waybackmachine setup for nostr though. If a relay owner is shutting down, they could contact 'thearchiver' relay and submit their historic notes to this relay. It would host in read only mode so people can discover content.

If it only hosted text, it shouldn't take up much space right?

What am I missing about this approach besides the single point of failure?

Feel like it’s inevitable, but not a big fan at least from the Twitter side.

+1 would be nice to have this tool

Content on Nostr is almost certainly temporary in practice as old shit has ongoing costs.

Only Google Relay, CIA Relay and FSB Relay are likely to store full records :-)

The big brother could at least give us an API for our data

It is probably not worth it. If the content is good it will be consumed there and reposted by someone or cross-linked.

Thats a pretty cool idea to move BitcoinHackers content here. I wonder how the images would be sorted out
