In the 1950s the US median house was half the size of the present day house. 90% of homes didn’t have air conditioning. The typical family had a single car and it was common that rust would form holes in the floor of that car. The best computer was worse than your phone, it was the size of a large room and it was so expensive only Universities and governments could own them.
