#bitaxe friends can you guys help me get a better grasp of the shares vs. rejected shares results?

I’m noticing more rejected shares after 2.1.6 update and it’s got me a little curious

Rejected shares is work that was submitted to the pool that was not accepted. Usually when a new block comes in before the miner is notified, making it 'stale'.

This is helpful thanks! Not an issue really just trying to learn. My bitaxe used to have 0 rejected, after the firmware update it’s ~10 out of 2500.

Could this be caused by things like network latency to my node, WiFi issue etc?

The old firmware did not display the rejected shares properly. Also note there's a restart bug in 2.1.4+ which will be fixed soon.

Good to know! Appreciate the insight homie 👊🏻
