Seems like the power supply could be the problem. Which one do you have?
In extreme cases like with faulty cooling it’s not possible to run at all. In these cases we need to shutoff ASAP to save the Bitaxe from damage.
In less severe cases like when the thermal paste is bad, fan is wearing out, or the room is too warm, I think the user should make some small adjustments and get back to hashing at full speed.
The missing piece, IMO is an open source server so someone can spin up a new version when they get co-opted by the state. Or even better; prevent it.
In many cases if the bitaxe has overheated something is wrong and needs to be manually addressed…
I’m not sure privacy is that important on a public forum? I’m mostly interested in being free of centralized shitshow Discord and utilizing FOSS
