I miss the days when your "community" was the neighborhood you lived in.

It's ironic how today's popular usage of the word "community" is actually quite divisive.

I'm not part of the crypto community, the Linux community, or the kayaking community. I just happen to like those things.

Great observation.

Reminds me of the word "adult" - used to mean you were a grown up and could drive a car and have respect and hold down a job.

Now it means something bad or naughty and not for children - like adult movies, or adult language, or adult situations etc. People say "audulting" like it is some terrible thing you have to do.

Yeah. Seems like it's an indication we are fine with being children.
