Lyn, new to Nostr, (and don't understand the apparent link between Nostr and Bitcoin yet), and I have some honest questions:
Firstly, why do all the Bitcoin people recommend for other people to buy Bitcoin? Makes it feel like a pyramid scheme or Amway or something. Am I supposed to believe this is from the goodness of people's hearts? Or is there some other reason?
Secondly, isn't Bitcoin highly privacy invasive? Like all your transactions are basically accessible by the powers that be? As opposed to Monero which is very privacy respectful.
Is this a son pretending to be a daughter or a daughter who wants to be a son? I honestly don't know which way this transition is supposed to go.

Reminds me of the word "adult" - used to mean you were a grown up and could drive a car and have respect and hold down a job.
Now it means something bad or naughty and not for children - like adult movies, or adult language, or adult situations etc. People say "audulting" like it is some terrible thing you have to do.

This sounds fun, and horrible. Can you imagine getting up to level 50 and dying in a raid? Back to Stormwind to start farming wolf pelts to start earning copper. Remember 5 minutes ago when I had gold?
I can see why he started it though - at the time, Mastadon was looking good, and he needed something he wouldn't get banned for - so owning the platform made sense.
Now, with 20/20 hindsight, yeah, he should switch to Nostr and call Truth Social a "successful experiment" that is no longer really needed now that Nostr tech has arrived.
