That’s a great question. And maybe I’m not really sure what I mean. My thought was something like “if unschooling is good - better than traditional schooling - then we would want to be able to export it to as many kids as possible.”

However, it seems - and this is where I could be wrong - that very few people (parents) would have the knowledge or the means to unschool. It’s a similar thing with homeschooling. Honestly, with the right parents homeschooling might be better in a lot of ways than sending your kids to public school, for example. But most parents don’t have the means or knowledge to do it, no less do it in a way that yields better results than public school.

BUT, I could be missing something. As a teacher for a decade or so I know fair bit about public schooling but I don’t know a lot about unschooling.

Yes, I understand! It definitely needs the right mindset as a foundation - and I try to bring that to the Bitcoiners, because they understand decentralized money, they will understand decentralized education (unschooling) and BAM there we go, ripple effect.

And I agree 100%, for some kids school is the better option - in my case, like vacations from home.

Love your thoughts, thank you so much for sharing, really appreciate it!!!

I unschooled my two sons. Their first test was their drivers test. I was more of a facilitator than a teacher. We didn’t do school. I just followed their lead and helped them learn what interested them at the time. One graduated community college and he was on the deans list. The other went to university and he was on the presidents list. They’re 30 and 27 now.

Wow that is so cool!! Would you like to talk about it on my podcast? I'd love to hear more about your story!

Would it just be my voice? 😀
