Have fun! I did the same some months ago. Now I setup cards for the kids with each an Lnbits account and their own PoS URL to chare sats each others.
I plan to gift them the blank cards so they can custom deco them with stickers and permanent markers. Then I will teach them how to use it and let the magic happens.

Card personnalisation is really a good way to make things more personal too. Do you have any store accepting btc to test to pay with the card?

There are people selling stickers and goodies at some Bitcoin meetup and events. Otherwise online you have basically most store using BTCPay Server (from a Chromium based Android browser on a NFC capable phone).
