I've heard about something called "syncthing"
Personally, I just email my stuff to the FBI and they can't delete it because I'm on so many watchlists
File Browser over Tor on nostr:npub126ntw5mnermmj0znhjhgdk8lh2af72sm8qfzq48umdlnhaj9kuns3le9ll . Own your data.
I like the sound of that. How do you access the data from your phone? Is it a good experience despite Tor?
Oh yeah it’s awesome. Anywhere in the world I just fire up Orbot or Tor Browser on my phone, click on the shortcut on my Home Screen to the Tor address of my server login, enter the username and password, and I’m in. Browsing files on my server on my desk at home. And you can set up shared folders and time limited access for others.
Nice. I’ll have to give it a try when I get a chance.
Proton
Selfhosted #nextcloud
Awesome also for sync of contacts and calendar and stuff...
Nice. Do you access it remotely? If so, how did you set it up?
Yes on a VPS i used the install scripts they provide in the vm repository..
You run it on a fresh installed vm and it not only installs nextcloud and database but also does u bunch of other important stuff like set up ufw and fail2ban...

Mostly SFTP/NFS mount back to my NAS at home over Tailscale. But I also sync NAS that to Mega as a backup.
Noice. I really need to look into Tailscale.
