As it's getting closer to show time, the vaccination decision for my baby is weighing heavily on me. There is a 0% chance I will allow them to do the full schedule. She won't be receiving the Hep B or the COVID shots for sure, but the other ones I need to do more research on. Are there any parents out there who can share their experiences? Are there any resources you can recommend to help me be better informed and make a better decision for my child? Currently, I'm in Puerto Rico, where they will treat you like a criminal for not giving your child all the vaccines. They will even harass you with child services, from what I've read, if you don't have a religious exemption. First time dad..... Can you tell? 😂 #asknostr

Hey Ivan, glad you got so many thoughtful responses. I wish you and your wife all the best in navigating it!

I was in your wife's position of thinking we'd do most of the jabs with our first son (maybe delay some), but my wife was adamant that we wouldn't. We got into it a few times but the deeper I looked the less I could justify the risk to reward ratio. Maybe focus on that with her?

As for the state and the schools, they need you and your kids way more than you need them. Contract with them as little as possible and your life will be richer and more enjoyable.

Its not always as convenient or easier though.

Kids are a blessing and can be our best life teachers if we're open to it, so enjoy and savor being a dad. Peace and love to all of you!
