I've said this before and I'll say it again, though I do not have children I find people who say "Having children is selfish" to be retarded. I don't understand how bringing another life into the world knowing full well that life will cost you time, money and energy to raise and to support can be anything but selfless. If you are truly trying to have children, it's nothing but selfless.

That's not even to mention that your life can't be all about you anymore after you have children it seems as you have someone who is completely dependent on you for survival.
Sounds like the leftists who project what they believe or stand for onto other people as they're the ones who believe or stand for that thing.
Having children us anything but selfish. Even if it somehow for someone started out as selfish, reality would quickly step in and show them otherwise.
Murdering unborn babies is selfish. It's literally choosing to be selfish over choosing someone else's opportunity to life!

Like the others said, I feel like comments like these are either just projections or rooted in some form of trauma.
Bringing life into this world and trying to make a better version of yourself is one of the least selfish things you can do as a human.
It forces you to grow and rise up to a new set of challenges as well, anything that promotes personal growth can never really negative.
It reinforces your beliefs and perspective of the world, when dealing with kids you really want to think and evaluate what you’re saying before you spit it out. In this process alone you’ll be able to filter your own beliefs and thought patterns.
I’m not quite there yet, but I will be soon & I cant wait.
This “having children is selfish” is leftist ideology. Conservative and libertarian types would never say something like that. It is probably something Marx, Lenin, or Mao said.
