This is why I've gravitated towards developing out in the open. Nostr is growing quickly and has an appetite for new apps, and Nostriches are often more than happy to try out early versions of an app. So there's no need to develop in secret, usually. A solution, then, is to just be transparent about the whole process, and invite early adopters from the very beginning, making it clear that they're stepping into a construction zone.

And allowing them to give input to the design. The Nostriches are wise. 🧘‍♀️

Gotta have user research to get a good design 🧠

Wasn't that supposed to be one of the benefits of being open-source? That it encourages you to get feedback in an earlier stage?

Seems to just make some projects more furtive and aloof.

It's a benefit in my mind, anyway.

Communities allow you to both curate AND monetize this process. From day one.

Interoperable communities even allow you to piggy back on other existing projects.
