The reason governments around the world are increasing internet censorship laws has nothing to do with making sure children are safe online and everything to do with how they have realized they lost control of the narrative.
But the narative wasn't for the kids. Or the adults either.

Look at the big picture. They can’t just go in and say “we’re gonna start censoring”
They do it piecemeal.
Of course, but this doesn't at all mean they lost control. A piecemeal approach speaks more to the opposite.
