For small batch personal roasting like this, I use a Fresh Roast SR800 fluid bed air roaster with some modifications. If you’re not familiar, it heats the beans with adjustable hot air and circulates them with an adjustable fan.

Before that I used a Whirley Pop popcorn maker! You can even use a cast iron skillet…just keep the beans moving and roast on your grill outdoors. Lots of smoke!

For our production roasts for our company we roast using a Sasa Samiac since allows much larger roasts and better control.
