Best way to gift away 100.000 sats to a kid that won’t touch this the next 20 years?

this is such a hard question and it highlights a lot of the current issues with bitcoin.
I remember reading something about a bitcoin time lock or something that did that. Can't recall exactly about it though.
My concern is the utxo size / fees
I would guess and say that in 20 years 100k sats would be so valuable that your kids would not even be concerned with fees.
Hah are fees the “new inflation”? Kidding aside it’s anyone’s guess what 20 years will look like and base chain is still probably the safest bet.
Give the keys to him to store it, and keep a copy yourself?

Hard to say honestly, difficult to predict in such a long horizon. What I do with my nephews is I give them bitcoin as gifts in the special ocassions, and if necessary I consolidate the utxos for them bc I also have the key. But yes it is kind of a problem, I dont see a better solution.
