VACCINES: “Apparently, vaccine manufacturing is the one and only exception to the rule that there’s no such thing as risk-free reward. Except, that’s not entirely true. The risks still exist, but they’re not borne by the vaccine manufacturers, nor by the governments who purchase them, nor by politicians who mandate them, nor by the public health officials who market them, nor by the regulators who approve them, nor by the doctors who administer them. Instead, the risks are transferred onto members of the public every time they roll up their sleeves.”

THE RUDE AWAKENING: “Politicians, health authorities, media, and even the courts, are remiss to admit it, but people everywhere are waking up to the undeniable truth – covid was not a nightmare because the virus posed an existential threat to all, but because those in power abandoned the principles and violated the rights designed to protect every one of us from their overreaches.”

Everyone knows the covid narrative pushed by politicians and public health. It dominated headlines every day for nearly three years. It was a one-size-fits-all prescription with unlimited refills instructing you to be afraid, to segregate, to dismiss second opinions, and to obey without question. It flooded the airwaves with fear and presupposed that covid should be the deciding factor behind all decision-making… And it was an abject failure.

Alternative viewpoints of covid were more nuanced. They accounted for individual experiences, preferences, and situations. They called for tailored risk assessments and countermeasures, and following evidence over ideology, just as any responsible practitioner should. They never made the unhealthy presumption of omnipresent sickness, nor perpetual helplessness. They simply stuck to the time-tested, ethical premise that every one of us should be empowered to make our own free and informed decisions.

It can be difficult to separate fact from fiction, especially in our highly polarized world. Whether information comes from the extreme left or far right, from partisan fact-checkers or fact-bending provocateurs, bias confirmation rules the day. Those who honestly seek truth know that it likely lies somewhere in between, but finding it requires an open mind, critical thinking, and a willingness to challenge preconceived notions.
