I'm all for the ossification of bitcoin, but gravity isn't actually constant, if it was the moon wouldn't cause tides. We just don't have a good way to measure it so we treat it like a constant & as a result most people generally fail to see that earthquakes & other events often correlate with changes in gravity due to planetary alignment.

I think you catch my drift… the day isn’t actually 24 hours either… just an approximation, like so many things, but it’s still a pretty damn good proxy.
The cycles of the moon are fairly constant and predictable.
High tide and low tide are predictable. Sunset and sunrise are predictable.
Maybe the rising and falling tides are like the rising and falling difficulty in #Bitcoin.
