I'm seriously considering orange pillong the main character in my series. The focus of the books are supposed to be on her PI business, however, she might as well use the best money ever, right!?

do it, but make it meaningful. work it into the plot. let her take the whole journey from detractor to maxi.
or better yet, have some mysterious person send her bitcoin and she has to figure out what it is, why it was sent, and how it fits in with the matter she's trying to solve.
I already kinda know the bad guys for each of the books, and she does know a techie, so I could let him do the stuff I don't know about, but know someone who knows could do... 🤔
I've had a hard time with the 2nd book in the series cause it kinda wanted a longer timeframe and I wasn't sure how to write it. But thanks to the plot the other guy left, I realized I can swap the order of bad guys and have the scammers from book 3 be crypto scammers in book 2, and let the now 2nd book bad guy take his time and show up more specifically in the 3rd book instead.
It sounds way more fun to write about the crypto scammer 🤔😎
isn’t it funny how stories and characters start to live their own lives as you write? it makes it tough as an author to work new great ideas in sometimes.
The best kind of plot twist.
Still needs to follow a story arc of it's own... for example discovering Bitcoin, then falling for a scam or getting rugged or buying into some amazing NFT/Crypto that appeals uniquely to a PI... losing everything, rediscovering herself through a slow return to Bitcoin and Bitcoiner values... then getting all excited about meet ups and conferences... but gets doxed or on a government list and blows her PI cover... then goes dark and full cypherpunk, which helps her investigatve work go exponential just like her bitcoin stats. Finally, some complicated love interest with a no-coiner (epic fail)... a bitcoin larp who wants the gains but has high time preference... and finally a true soul who sees the beauty of everything divided by 21m and homesteads while waiting for a decent citadel to emerge. This sets them up to weather the 'road to 2030', combining their skills to thrive and help others do the same.

Wow, sounds like you've got a great plot here. It doesn't quite follow my main story arc, so I hope you take the time to fill that out and sell it. I'd totally read that book!!! Or watch the movie.
I like the idea of a crypto scammer, though she wouldn't be scammed by them, as she is a Prophetic Detective, meaning she gets insights from God to solve crimes. However, others around her surely would fall for it, and they'd need to figure out who the scammer is and how to catch them.
This interaction between you two demonstrates the excellence of Nostr which is perhaps just a reflection of humanity’s beauty.
