I love teaching my French co-worker new English slang. Today's lesson is "schlump".

american english speaker well versed in slang here, no idea what that means

Kind of something to come out of the party culture At least where I am.

if you're schlumped, you're too high to move or passed out.

A DJ can play a really schlumping set. just means is good, bassy and groovy.

That's the opposite of it's yiddish meaning.

I didn't even know that was a Yiddish word or phrase.

Even the spelling makes that obvious. It means "sloppy".
