I'm getting tired of neo-nazis and white supremacists on nostr. I know I can just block them. But I feel the need to tell them how retarded they are before I block them. At least I do block them. More and more seem to keep popping up in notes about controversial stuff though. Just venting, I can deal and just keep blocking/muting.

They are not the majority but there's enough of them that, at least on my relays and my curiosity following a lot of people, you run into them every so often.
I'm sure some relays offer or will offer more curation/moderation as well. I like doing it on an individual level though. Keeps things real.

Oh you know what? A lot of them are actually on Mastodon. I forgot I have a special bridge relay that lets me interact on there. Most people on nostr probably don't have the connection for that.

You can create your own feed exactly as you wish here, pressing the block button is also not hard.
I prefer seeing their posts because then you can provide counter information instead of banning them back into a deep hole of the internet where the ideology nurtures

They've been censored on every other platform for years. Imagine you're a kid in highschool, experimenting with the wild world of internet chat, and naively express an attitude in that general direction - and promptly get banned or worse, shadow banned. That hurts. And it gets a reaction - which is, whatever the censorship jerks hate is what they want to rub in their face. So it intensifies...
TBH, the damage done by censorship is so great at this point that I think a round two of Nazis is inevitable. There's probably more Nazis now than there were when they had control of a country. All because statist control freaks just had to wield the ban hammer on just about everything.
