Though, idk what industry your in, but working for yourself comes with more uncertainty and not everyone does well with that.

Different stress and more responsibility, but if you are good at what you do in your field, as long as you do it. It's fine. Plus you get to bill market rates and keep all of it instead of just getting paid your slave wage.
