#[0] one of the most fascinating things I witnessed in Miami was from a woman who heard the Beach Party and came over to check it out. She got in a discussion about AI with some people and was very positive about it. She used AI during her PhD program to block a big project from being approved by her school because she showed it was wasteful with AI. She did this to an adviser who had been sexist to her in the past regarding a woman’s place in this field. She later said she gave a talk about AI at Google and afterwards she was followed, because every researcher that is working on an algorithm, is an algorithm that Google wants, and they will bully researchers for future patents. I told her to please be safe, and she said that she had many guns at my house.
