That's going to suck for nodes.
Running a node already sucks for poor people so what does it matter?
To me that's like raising the unemployment. Eventually it doesn't just affect the poor but it then begins to swallow the middle class. The problem of centralization then continues.
The goal of any currency should be, by the people for the people. The more centralized and controlled a currency becomes it's the right of the people to find alternatives. Bitcoin is the best tool to achieve this goal at the time.
The majority of the world can’t run a node already tho so what’s your point?
I guess I didn't realize they couldn't, but my point is that it would become harder for those that currently do if they can't afford storage or a good enough network speed to download the entire node.
I have heard of this thing called knots (spelling might be off) but haven't looked into it.
I just believe that Bitcoin and the network shouldn't be solely controlled by major corporations. 🤷♂️
