The hubris coming from the older generation white male who has already attained the heights of their professional career and has social security (and had the opportunity to passively yet perfectly time the public equity markets and housing market ponzi) is oozing from this post.
For most young white dudes trying to compete in today’s “market” the odds are stacked against us no matter how much we contribute to our fiat companies’ successes. And, as it’s always been, those in power make the rules. And the rules today are less meritocratic than they were 30 years ago.
Tools like bitcoin and Nostr bring about a return meritocracy … albeit in the digital world. For most, we’re still working to achieve financial freedom and personal sovereignty in a fiat system that we perceive is actively persecute us.
If the younger generation wants to share ideas we believe are right but threaten the power of the undeserving powerful, it is smart for us to let the ideas stand on their own merit.
Even the founding fathers had ‘nyms they’d use to be edgy and honest on key issues and/or personal attacks of those with power. Free speech can be more powerful when it is independent from the person who reveals it.
