By the way, prior to 1977 in Germany (random example) a husband was a legal guardian of a wife. Without his permission wife was not able to even open a bank account (reminder, there was no bitcoin in 1977). Good luck with travelling and education.

Woman never had equal rights to a man and in simple words it was one of major fuckups in human history.

They weren't allowed to open a bank account without his permission because of the strict protections on sole property. Money she puts into such an account is not joint property.

Married women are now allowed to open a bank account or take on employment, without his agreement. In return, they are treated more equally to men in divorce and child custody proceedings.

Husbands tend to pay for their wives' travel and education, at least in part. We often don't need paid employment, or can afford to be picky about which jobs we take and how many hours we work, due to our husbands paying the household bills, and the fact that married women tend to be relatively wealthy.

Lol, some of them do.

Some other women deeply regret getting married.

Many women would envy your point of view.

The ones that fight - fight for the ones that have reason for such envy.

Marriage is a bet on another person. Not every ticket is a winner, but the wins are big.

Reducing the downside risk has made the institution less attractive, and now there are fewer tickets on offer and women have to work harder to get one.

Life is never fair.

Said like a true winner. Congratulations!
