I first heard a conspiracy theory in 1995. It had to do with the CFR and the league of Rome. I was in graduate school at the time, and one of my professors saw the world through a different lens. His ideas were intriguing to me and after reading Ellul's "Technological Bluff" in another class, I was left with the idea that the world wasn't as it seemed.

Prior to that, I had become a Christian in 1986, but was only by the mid-90s coming to learn that the world didn't appreciate my moral position and was actively working to undermine it. Of all the conspiracies, this was the worst because it is anti-God, not to mention anti-Christ.

Materialism is the worst kind of conspiracy theory because it comes straight from the devil, who has convinced so much of humanity that the material l, the here-and-now, is all that matters.

What religion were you following before 1986 ?

one side followed Lutheranism and the other Zionism.

thank you for sharing this. My path has been very similar. Colossians 1:13-14 was key in my thought process. There is no neutral ground between the two kingdoms. Dr Greg Bahnsen gave an amazing lecture that is preserved on YouTube called The Myth of Neutrality.

Good post!

I find a lot of Christians don’t believe in conspiracy theories… however the devil is called the “grand conspirator” 🧐

One of his great tricks is trying to convince us he doesn’t exist

Deep reflection the real battle is always spiritual beyond the surface
