Any power threatening hegemony of the US over the last 100 years became the enemy. The western world has lived by extracting value out the other countries over at least 50 years, so any other major power rising would destroy that flow. There are many positives from the "west", but we should also be real about the negatives...

Ok, so that is a coherent view. That aligns with Mearsheimer's "great power politics" view. In Mearsheimer's view, this would be the case irrespective of who was who. Once China dominates the world, they will behave similarly.

I guess I lean towards that belief.

Yeah, and if I get to choose the power, I'd choose the more freedom based option...

the problem is cbdc's lack liquidity and China has capital controls so probably the old good US will keep its monetary hegemony until bitcoin takes power
