nostr:npub16xfqjdlukvd5y92fm7qwyqerluqkhcl3xxgumty5wezk9zpud4gswxe0sv When Apple started deleting RIPed MP3s without asking and replacing with their DRM Equivalents without asking I thought of rage quitting it for the more FOSS Android. I did a one week experiment. I had a pretty good UX. I went to look at the data vacuuming between the two. Even with me manually opting out of most of it I was horrified at what Google was doing. I bitterly went back to Apple hoping that one of those Linux phones that were “coming soon” would meet minimum sufficiency. That obviously never happened and I don’t think ever will.

Anyone looked at a PinePhone? They run Manjaro Linux and other versions ~$200.. Have a PineBook Pro notebook for several years just to have a machine w/zero personal info.
