My 24 word seed doesn't give me control
I think it could be that they are locked up in lightning channels and your seed phrase doesn’t suffice as a backup for those. You would need to have those channels closed and then they should be accessible by just the seed. I’m kind of guessing here, semi-educated guess
An lnd seed is not the same as a bip39 seed. It's a different format.
It won't restore your channels though
