Are Damus or other NOSTR clients available in China?
How will NOSTR bypass the existing controls?
I was challenged by this questions when I tried to purple pill a friend.

nostr clients are just code. if they can download, compile and run code on computers then they can use nostr. there are plenty of web clients as well.
damus ios is not available in mainland china, no, but Damus Notedeck is.

Nostr devs don’t even understand how the great firewall works.
Most guys here are doing the VC work under the guise of “decentralizatorrrr” but the true is it’s HTTP protocol. Plain and simple.
