Anybody tried the docker compose file to install nostr:npub1getal6ykt05fsz5nqu4uld09nfj3y3qxmv8crys4aeut53unfvlqr80nfm Hub on your own hardware?
What is installed on the hardware? How much space is required?

you should give it at least 512MB memory. better is 1GB.
The volume should probably be 1GB+.
other than that not much requirements.
let me know how it goes and if you have questions.
Ok perfect, installation went super smooth!
I saw that in the “node” menu you can deposit on-chain bitcoin to open channels. I however haven’t seen anywhere intel the “wallet” menu where you can send on-chain bitcoin.
How do we go about sending on-chain bitcoin?
the wallet interface focuses on lightning. To send onchain bitcoin go to node -> deposit. You can also generate new onchain addresses there.
but the hub is not a good onchain wallet - it's for lightning and thus mainly uses onchain to open channels or withdraw funds.
Ok thanks for the answer. What about withdrawing onchain Bitcoin? I’ve only seen the option of “deposit”
it's in the advanced menu: "withdaw savings balance"
I do not see this option in the advance menu. I only see “deposit”.
Is it because I don’t have any on-chain BTC or this option is supposed to be there regardless?
in the top right. next to open channel.
Not there unfortunately. I have my Node ID and only Deposit.
how does this look like on your side?

Same thing except I do not have the “Alby Hosted Balance” square and the “Withdraw Saving Balance” option.
The rest is the same
hmm, those red squares are wrong in my screenshot. but I was referring to the "Withdraw Saving Balance" (the hosted balance should not be there anyway)
but you have a saving balance?
No I do not, I haven’t transferred anything on-chain yet. Since I haven’t seen any options to withdraw I didn’t want to have anything trapped.
If the option only appears when there is a balance, it’s bad UI. There should always be the option to withdraw
Ok, to keep you in the loop, I have the option of withdraw on-chain once I have a balance.
Everything works except one thing.
How can you backup channels? I backup the seed phrase, I want to backup channels.
The only option I see is to migrate…. What if my server dies on me? I would want to always have an updated file of my channels.
