I'm sure there are very good uses of drones, but for most people outside the USA it's still pretty easy to buy from our nearby farms.

Our local farm is about a mile up the road. I can't see how anything is more sustainable that buying from them and bringing it home.

I realise the USA is unique. You have massive farms in the middle of nowhere. In that situation drones may well be an improvment.
