Now I am told that these sats of Bitcoin will be worth 1 dollar one day. None of this makes sense, seriously. If it is so valuable why are people sending me so much?

Well, I can buy some cheap today, spend them as if they are dollars and feel rich. Have you heard of bitcoin pizza day?

There was a guy who spent 10,000 bitcoin on two pizzas.
People thought he was crazy to do that. But it’s seen as the first time bitcoin was exchanged for physical goods.
We do it because no one can stop us.
What now? 10000 BTC that’s a whole lot of money. Why is Bitcoin so much more expensive now?

Look up the halving. Fixed supply, cut in half every four years until there is no more that can be mined. 
Those of us who arrived late thank you all for getting the party started & keeping the party going.
We are just #plebs really.
But on a more serious note. Function increases the value.
So we are all kinda doing it selfishly.
