sometimes I admire the Italians or just truly passionate people who just let it all out. maybe this is why. i was always surprised how by how many French couples would be kissing in the grocery store aisles.

Hmm, a trip to France might be fun
skip paris tho
and honestly, if you want to see the most balls out people in europe it's definitely italy
but in all seriousness, everything below the latitude of the centre of the black sea is balls out
I'd prefer Italy actually. I like the sound of Italian more than french
southern italy, from like rome/pescara south
but i had good experiences with farmers near Bologna, so, yeah
probably stick to that advice for city people
country people are fascinating everywhere
Is it possible to live there without knowing Italian? I like languages, I like Italian, but idk any italian
Also do they speak Italian on the Dalmatian coast? Iirc Italy once ruled there
you mean croatia, right?
nope, they speak croatian there now... as i mentioned in a parallel thread, italian is easy to speak, croatian and serbian have some unfamiliar grammar, similar to russian and german, italian grammar is also quite simple
it is very nice along that region though, pure white sand beaches, clear water...
dirty croatians claiming all of it... even though a lot of it closer to the east is mere dozens of kilometers thick territory, so fucking stupid
btw, i hate croatians, never been inclined to go to croatia... went through there but every impression i get about croatians is negative... bosnians and serbs are nicer... but if you want to be beside the adriatic sea, the best places are indeed croatia
italian is a pretty easy language, like spanish is pretty easy
half an hour a day for a few months on pimsleur and you'll get along fine
portuguese is harder, it has a weird phonetics, italian is singsong, it's like learning songs, really, italian is fun
i'm not keen on the idea of living so close to volcanoes or the sea these days tho
Oh yeah, there's a volcano about to blow, right? That's awesome, I wanna see it
haha, yeah... idk where exactly... i walked through a region that had some of that nearby... lots of fracking installations beside the road and gas pipe markers all across the landscape, and not many people... probably not a very safe place to be overall
the little town i encountered was absolutely gorgeous, along the way
was a very memorable walk, from rome via avezzano through that region out to pescara
yeah, you wanna do it, for sure, do it, it's beautiful, idk whether to recommend doing it on foot though, it's really pretty
I'm really fond of renting motorcycles when I travel. No motorcycle license, though. I just kinda figured it out in the Philippines, highly recommend. I wonder of I can get away with doing that in Italy
