⚡️🇪🇺 NEW - The European Union has dropped the most controversial measure in its draft law against child sexual abuse, known as "Chat Control."
This provision would have allowed private conversations, including those on encrypted messaging services such as WhatsApp and Signal, to be scanned for child pornography.
Deemed "disproportionate" and strongly criticized by several countries, it was ultimately removed from the text.
I have no doubt it will return dressed up as something more compelling to feared society like “Protect from Russian Espionage Project”
