We need this in Germany too.
I'd say it'd increase the amount of bad parenting if the incentive to have more (or any) children is for economical reasons, and not that you want to out of love for them. Even partially I think it would be true.
🤔 Right now people do this to an insane degree for welfare. I think it would actually be better by a huge degree if having kids meant you could keep *your* money, vs having kids so you can get *someone else’s* money.
You’d have to specifically replace the current welfare system with this, but to the contrary of causing a problem, i think this strategy may actually *correct* the horrible incentives we are currently subsidizing. Keeping your own money is very different from getting someone else’s.

Maybe. But how about removing those systems and letting people keep their money regardless, so that those who want four kids can afford it, reducing their stress over money and giving them time to take care of them, while removing all pressure on those who want fewer or none (especially for the reason of knowing their own limitations) to have more for economic reasons? #LibertarianDreaming...
Well yeah it’s way better to just leave people alone and stop stealing their shit or artificially subsidize anything. 😂 💯
