Depends on what's your local currency. Where I am 1000 sats equals $4.00 TTD, which is $0.59 USD. But bitcoin doesn't lose value like fiat currencies do so it's a pretty great savings technology

I would say it like this: 50 cents are currently worth 1000 sats. And the best part is: While the 50 cent are diluted permanently, your 1000 sats will never be diluted because there always will only be 21 Million Bitcoin.
