This is not how conservatism is understood everywhere. The USA crisis today is provoked by conceptual sloppiness.
When I first heard of conservatism I thought it was exactly that, being part of a group who believe in actions that conserve. Conserve time, energy, value. That shit isnt wasted. Not extreme. Pragmatic conservatism. Then the world explained it as something else. Like a veil over new people coming into the fray. Both side were not what you thought. Maybe that was the game theory all along. I was a dem and now I’m not.
