Watching the regulatory and retail jockeying for the ability to sell weed and vapes in NYC is so depressing. Everyone wants to collect the rent— a lot of small businesses owners (i mean real small businesses! like “I saved up from job at the fry shack”small) are basically doomed. They will never get a license because you need money and connections and like five people have the market cornered.

And all these trashy little shops can’t fall back on selling vapes now either. Seems intentional.

Controlled substances are still a racket when they are legal. But this is NYC the damn taxis are a racket. I still support legalization because I think it’s made things less dangerous and tense and the gangs are going out of business. Do opioids next.
