"Bitcoin lightning QR codes" are obsolete. Both BtcpayServer and most lightning wallets support unified qr codes where you don't have to worry about picking the tech. Scan the code with lightning wallet, it will go through lightning.

It's magic, it just works.

I hate it. I was donating some lower hundreds of thousands sats to Sparrow Wallet thru their Btcpayserver. Wasn’t paying much attention. My Zeus have sent it onchain.

Why? Did it not ask? Did it not show the fee?

Crytpo trading is the easiest and fastest way to make money online from the comfort of your home with a little capital to start your investment kindly send a direct message to Matildafx_crypto_expert on Instagram for a proper guidance and to know how it really works, am on my fifth withdrawal in her platform she indeed the best and reliable!

I see that now it does an explicit prompt on onchain/LN. It wasn't like that at the time, I didn't even expect it, so I must have missed it as I was quicky clicking throught the payment. Don’t like it til then.

Ok, so now it's all good!

Not very handy on iOS where you cannot select app which will bee opened. Now lightning: URI protocol will not open onchain wallet.

It is alphabetical. Install breez, uninstall shitcoin wallets that start with a or b.

This is hilarious. I will definitely save this for "next time" when some iSheep starts to tell me how Apple ecosystem is superior to Linux/Android.

OS cannot gain or loose superiority by one feature like this. 🙂

Yes, this is just a funny stuff, but it's a peace to the puzzle.

Of course, the deal breaker is the closeness of the iOS system, with Apple as it's gatekeeper.

Android is not very good as well. I have an app in the stores.

- Google was actually more strict than apple

- push services are a secondary gatekeeper on both platforms

- an app that is not in Play store (fdroid, apk download, ...) has basically zero adoption. This matters especially for crypto and communication apps that rely on network effects.

So Progressive web apps are one of the good solutions.

Android Is open, I can write app and distribute it over F-Droid or just as signed APK over GitHub. For free and now. You can't do this on iPhone

This is all what matters. I didn't presented argument about size or network affect. Your comment on it is irelevant.

I stated that Apples ecosystem is closed. Which is simply true. Android is open. Yes, you have to do same extra effort to replace Google servicies (foreground service with sticky notification for delivering of the push notification, for example), but you CAN.

On iOS you CANT.

It's simple as that.

I think this days there is not big difference in closeness.

What? Try to develop and distribute some app on IOS and Android.

I can ship APK here and now for everyone to download and use.

To ship on iOS you need permission from the gatekeeper.

This is HUGE difference.

I have an app on both platforms. I have published an apk. 0 downloads.

So you are right in theory, in practice if you get kicked out of play store, you don't have users.

That's why PWAs are better, because most people have an experience (either Twitter PWA like me or Pornhub like everyone else😂)

If you are kicked out of Google's Play Store you lose users.

If you are kicked out of Aplles's App Store you don't have the app.

This is the key difference.

I use Blue wallet for XPUBs and my Btcpay 😇
