Bitcoiners, I have a question for you.

Since joining Nostr, I’ve noticed something curious: Bitcoiners are laser focused on monetary injustice the debt based money system, central banking corruption, and financial manipulation. And I get it. On these topics, you’re the best in the world.

But when it comes to geopolitics, war, and human rights? Silence. Almost no discussion. No strong stances. No outrage.

Right now, there’s a genocide happening. Since October 7, 2023, thousands of innocent people many of them children have been killed. Entire cities reduced to rubble. And yet, the same people who deeply understand the injustices of fiat money don’t seem to engage with the injustices of war.

Why?

Is it because Bitcoin fixes this? Is it because you see geopolitics as noise in a rigged game, and sound money as the real revolution? Or is it something else?

I’m not here to judge I genuinely want to understand. If you fight against economic oppression, why not against all forms of oppression?

Let’s talk. I’m listening.

A few of us try, but the response is either crickets or some Q Anon- level fruit loops. Dispiriting.

Hi markola! Honestly, I don't see anyone here defending the rights of the Palestinians. Or at least no one who tries to explain the real causes of NATO's conflict against Russia. They seem a bit weak arguments for the average bitcoiner who instead is unbeatable in economics and game theory 🤷‍♂️

There are many Bitcoiner’s on Nostr who are overtly critical of any war, all genocides (there are many going on not just the one in Palestine), the U.S., Russia, China and many other geopolitical bullies.

I think ruminating about the decisions of superpowers is a hopeless and demoralizing act. Something that those of lesser intellect typically engage in.

The things governments choose to do are wholly out of the individual’s dichotomy of control, so to focus on them is an act of self-sabotage.

Instead focusing on what one can control and enjoying life despite the insanity of sociopathic institutions is the only reasonable path forward.

Exiting these systems who are responsible for crimes where possible is the actionable way to disempower them - Bitcoin and Nostr. Yelling on the internet daily about their crimes and allowing them to perpetually control your disposition is not effective and it simply saps the yeller of quality-of-life and time while accomplishing nothing.

I like it as an answer! There is your reasoning even if in the face of injustices I can't turn the other way and not shout it with the only method we have, that is, social media! But your reasoning doesn't make a fold. Thank you very much for the very comprehensive answer 🤟😉🏴‍☠️

I think there's a large percentage of us that treat war as retarded and violating the NAP so it's redundant to constantly virtue signal that we are against it.

Fiat money is the gasoline in the war machine. War is funded on both sides by central banking as long as war is incentivized through central banking we will continue to have endless war.

Yes, I understood that! I don't understand how you can't go to the streets to overturn these murderers. All united all together. Children are not at fault. The war in Ukraine is fought by one army against another. And I can also understand them. But what happens in Gaza is horrible. One of the most powerful armies in the world that kills women and children! I don't understand them and I will never understand

I oppose all wars. We need to stop getting involved with things outside our purview. We (the US) don’t need to be the world police. The root cause and continuation of war is unsound money. Protesting this or that war doesn’t changes the fundamentals of what causes this one or that one so I go all in on bitcoin as the freedom tech it is.

You nailed it: geopolitics is noise in a rigged game and the real Revolution is sound money.

I’d recommend looking into nostr:nprofile1qqs9336p4f3sctdrtft2wlqaq5upjz9azpgylhfd3dplwf005mfrr9sprpmhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuumwdae8gtnnda3kjctvqythwumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytnxd46zuamf0ghxy6t6zfxx5f and what he has to say about human rights and injustices. He’s incredibly influential in how I view the importance of bitcoin from a geopolitical and human rights perspective.

It's a reasoning! But we must not close our eyes to a genocide. We must continue to denounce all kinds of abuse. From money scam, to wars to everything. Anyway I understand your reasoning thanks for the answer

Where is there genocide? I know this is a talking point lately with lots of pictures.

You don't deserve an answer! 🤷‍♂️

That right there is why there is no talk about it - there is no reasoning with anyone on one side or the other.

War is ugly - always funded with printed money.

The war is that of Russia against Ukraine or rather against the whole NATO! Between 2 armies! The one in Palestine is called GENOCIDE or if you prefer ETHNIC CLEANSING. They are two different things

Do u think the Ukraine war, which started in 2014 with genocide against Russians, is Russia’s fault? But goes way back to the 90s. Read book, “Provoked” -

And do u think Israel being bombed for 20+ years from tunnels but under residential areas has anything to do with the problem for the Palestinians? Just recently 4 rockets were launched from Gaza from residential areas - to which Israel responds decisively - hitting the launch sites. Whose fault are the civilian casualties? Are u fine with Hamas sending rockets to Israel for 20+ years? Do u think they should just allow the killing?

See - there r two sides to every conflict. Can u understand both sides?

I know the war in Donbass well! The 2014 coup d'état in Kiev commanded by Viktoria Nuland allowed the Ukrainian Nazis to rise to the government and they began to massacre Russians in the Donbass. So the invasion of Russia in 2022 was necessary also because NATO was getting closer and closer to its borders. So I understand Putin and Russia but not the Ukrainians who sacrificed themselves like cannon fodder for a NATO proxy war against Russia. Palestine's discourse is very complex. I think it is a country attacked since 1948 by one of the most criminal states in the history of humanity, which is Israel, which is committing genocide. So I understand the Palestinian side, I also understand Hamas and I also understand the religious Ionism that governs Israel that wants to exterminate Palestinian Arabs to form the great Israel just as written in the sacred books! I think I understood everything

I'm not sure about the Nazi thing. Honest question: Are we sure that's not propaganda?

If you read the book, "Provoked" you see Ukraine has been a tinderbox since after WW2. Read "One Nation Under Blackmail" by Whitney Webb for a very, very deep dive, 1000 pages, if history, with 1000s of references, of the corruption passed on from generation to generation.

The West has done great harm in Ukraine - which is the cause of most of the problems today. The Russiaphobia in the West, what is that all about? Who started it? Why?

I struggle with the Palestinian issue. $100 of millions spent building tunnels by Hamas so they can launch rockets from residential areas. Then when Israel bombs the launch site and kills civilians the press is all over it - genocide.

Israel did not chose their land - they were forced there.

The Muslims and Christians have been at war for over 1000 years. The multi-volume series, "The Story of Civilization" is outstanding. Really puts in perspective how long this war has been going on.

It's clear Israel tried to get along with Palestinians over the last 20 years. Trying to live together. Clearly that did not work - as it has not worked for 100s of years.

So we are at a point someone will need to win, and someone will need to lose I guess. I really don't know.

To your origional point about talking this issue - I think we stay out of it (the West) and just let it play out. The West has been trying to Nation Build for decades and guess what - it has not worked after spending 10's of trillions of dollars.

As hard as it is to watch people kill each other, I don't believe stepping into the middle of the war will fix the war.

This makes sense to me. I don’t see why we HAVE to be involved especially in the Middle East.

I hear you and agree, but I also don’t know what I can do to stop genocide when it’s not on my doorstep. I think that’s why moving my time and energy into bitcoin is more appealing because it’s actionable. That said, I’d never tell someone to not protest or go overseas to try and stop genocide. Like, that’s kinda badass to put yourself on the line and I fully respect it.

You might need to search a bit more -- I have seen many a good man and woman on here who opposes the horrific mass murders being committed by the Jewish state. I even proposed that the name of the dollar should be changed to Zionist Killing Machine Trading Stamps.

"There are a million problems in the world. I can put all my energy into one problem and I'll never fix that one problem for everyone. But I can make a difference by focusing on building something good." - paraphrased quote from Michael Saylor on a podcast from years ago. It resonated with me and I suspect with others as well. The ongoing genocides are terrible. But by focusing on my area of expertise I think I can create more net good than by talking against the crimes against humanity.

I liked the debate on this post of mine yesterday. I share it for those who missed it. I want to hear other opinions 🤟🏴‍☠️😉

End the fed. End the blood.

War is over (if people stop using governments currency)

True dave 🫩

IDK if you been following the news but plain closed police have been disappearing people who speak out against this particular war...
