I enjoy tinkering and the mods make a device I already have more functional so this whole endeavor makes sense to me personally. I also don’t have a lot of money to spend on tools so buying a "proper" desoldering station is a bit out of range for me most of the time. Plus, I get to make videos about the mods and can show them to others who may be interested. At least that’s my reasoning behind it. :)
