Nah, I don't think so. Oldest profession? Probably. Free market? Absolutely not.

In theory it looks like a free market: voluntary exchange, prices set by supply & demand, no centralized control, etc.

However, in practice, legal bans, social stigmas & black/grey market conditions distort the economics.
