It seems to me, if you witness a pattern often enough, you really have only two possible reactions:
a) Being lulled into an complete unawareness of the pattern; it becomes background noise.
Or b) Recognizing it (relatively?) clearly each time it does recur.
That "b" keeps me at a low rage pretty much all the time.
