New design and it is now the Blockstream app. Direct in-app buy option.

Some weren’t happy with the new overall overview. I think the account management is gone on Android. Idk if it's still there on desktop

I did a quick purchase test of $2. Coinbase wants .24 cents for a fee, cash app only asked for .06.

I was hoping this was similar to P2P purchases, it’s not, and I see no reason to use this over the cash app for buying btc from an exchange.

I actually like the app so far, but buying directly within the app with KYC and holding your stack in the same place is a no-go for me

Definitely. There was a time where I wasn’t as worried about my privacy as I am now, with the current administration acting more like the geheime staatspolizei.
