๐Ÿ‘๏ธ๐Ÿ‘„๐Ÿ‘๏ธ Sounds to me like you're living an above-average good life ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

I know that feeling when you wake up and take a really satisfying dump after a delicious coffee.

You wanna talk about that, or is it kinda OT?

Jk ๐Ÿ˜‚

To everyone in the EU: Starting no later than the day after tomorrow (Jan 1, 2026), centralized trading gets auto-reported to tax authorities. Switch to pure P2P sooner rather than later. At least wait until 2027 to see exactly how the reporting plays out and what the real impact is. Don't be the guinea pigs. #DAC8

"To fudgel (obsolete verb, 18th century): To pretend to be working hard while actually doing nothing productive."

I've noticed something strange. Whenever I connect to my nostr:nprofile1qqsw5t3us9xs3gmclzjm37hvk2yy6pv9t96utjjttsj794hexc5x79qpzamhxue69uhhxetpwf3kstnwdaejuar0v3shjtcqg5sm7 from outside using Tailscale, the Bitcoin Knots node crashes shortly after (shows as "not running"). If I try to restart it, it runs for a few minutes and then dies again.

I've confirmed it's definitely caused by Tailscale, remote access over Tor works perfectly fine with no issues.

The problem seems to be that block synchronization breaks as soon as Tailscale is involved, causing the node to shut down.

In my opinion, KYC was fine as long as you weren't planning to sell and you'd taken some precautions before sending it to cold storage (depends on your location).

For us, the government couldn't just access your transactions like that.

Things are gonna get rough in the EU starting in January. Every single transaction has to be reported, along with all your personal data, to the tax authorities.

P2P is changing from a 'may' to a straight-up 'must.'

The real wake-up call will hit in 2027 when the tax bill comes due, because you've been sending bitcoin back and forth too much, and now you have to prove where the money came from and where it went. Once it becomes clear that you actually bought things with it, that's when it gets 'fun' in terms of unpaid taxes

Yeah peach is nice. Robosats is on my list, but donโ€™t the premium go completely crazy or am I wrong? ๐Ÿค” Same as bisq.

Always seemed kinda sketchy anyway ๐Ÿ˜‚

Looking for solid no-KYC ways to stack sats in Europe before dac8 hits in 2026.

EU frens, what are you using?

So far Azteco is still my favorite even with the 10% premium.

The dudes from the key site (Hong Kong) make the receipt look like a random game key for steam lmao ๐Ÿ˜‚

Alright, so starting in 2026, itโ€™s basically over for Bitcoin exchanges like Strike in the EU, right? Either youโ€™re cool with every tiny transaction getting reported straight to the tax authorities, or thatโ€™s it. P2P will probably be the only way left. How are you guys planning to deal with this?

What still holds me back from using it is that I canโ€™t see who has interacted with a note so far and how. Also, I really miss the Like button. ๐Ÿ˜ญ

You could also use different passphrases, so there are only minimal differences between your individual wallets. For example, you could have the same 12 recovery words, but each of you adds your own passphrase for your personal stack

Iโ€™ve actually always liked Green. Itโ€™s important to me that I can use all the features on mobile. But if there really is no coin control (how??), then I guess Iโ€™ll have to do it on desktop..

I enjoyed watching it. Even though Korean series are kind of weird ๐Ÿ˜‚
