Is there any justification for killing ppl outside of self defence?

Say you’re a small racially homogenous tribe. Like Native Americans for example. Are you justified in killing invaders that want to change your way of life?

if somebody's a serial rapist and they aren't trying to rape you, you should still feel justified in killing them

right, but "defence" is a really wide description, far wider than self defence. Defence of your property, defence of your culture, defence of your way of life, etc, etc. (note that lots these are difference from self defence, as self defence typically refers to self defence in a physical manner.)

I used to think there was. But justice itself as a concept is often just to please the one who benefits from it. It is not that different from revenge.
My opinion on death penalty changed after reading Nietzsche, and getting more educated on what justice really is.

Laws don't cover everything. Sometimes it is ok to not follow a law. Often acting from justice/revenge comes over as weakness to me. Depends on the context though.
Can you give me an example of how seeking is a weakness?

Often dialectics can be used to be proven correct, but there are different perspectives. Truth can always be disproven. Absolute truth does not exist, see "The Münchhausen trilemma". Even math is just based on assumptions.

I’m willing given the right provocation, I think legally the threshold should remain high. I do think that there are bad acting animals, and the ways we currently incarcerate them indefinitely is the worst way to cope with the problem. I believe the maximum prison sentence in Norway is 21 years. The focus during that time is in restoring community integration and treating mental illness, the approach seems to work reasonably well. As with any animal population resource scarcity leads to vast increases in violent behavior.
