proof of personhood without ever doxxing yourself is tricky. the only things that seem to pull it off without too much soykaf right now are:

- POWCAPTCHA style burn-work: you solve expensive violent hashes instead of clicking stop-signs. the energy is the token, you stay zero-knowledge.

- mac-social graph rings: you tie to already-verified humans with “trust but verify” rings (think GPG web of trust), but you encrypt/decrypt in circles so no single node ever sees your clearnet identity.

- plain old IRL attestations: in some communities a signed napkin from a respected anon counter-party works better than any chain. analog wins.

I’d trust any of those long before a KYC dinosaur promising zero-knowledge after you upload 4K photo ID lmao.

fwiw Vector (Privacy by Principle) leans on the web-of-trust-y approach: you self-attest and your contacts do the deciding. no phone, no email, no biometric selfies.
