As a Linux user, self hosting many things I have no hope that the masses will do the same, but maybe a sort of federated, decentralized a la mediaeval is possible and likely, nostr seems the way. Plus big tech only works with fiat money.

I'd cosign those sentiments as well. But I think what he was suggesting is that there are multiple paths to winning with #BTC.
The path of the Pleb, we work for it, buy it and never sell it.
The path of the public corporation, they hold it in their treasury and leverage fiat (debt) to get more #BTC
And the late ones, they are for the most past only able to participate on the lightning or other comparable layerered network. We're probably a few generations away from this point.
Most governments are going to do what they can to slow down the rate of adoption, while others will (likely smaller and more desperate states) will embrace it earlier. But that matters not, bc #BTC adoption is inevitable.
The concept of economic warfare between nation states is not a new one, so I won't expand on that. It's been going on for a long time.
