I recently switched to Brave and was wondering what the point of Vivaldi is. I get that it's an alternative browser based on Chromium, but there's so many of those now that I couldn't understand why Vivaldi is better than, say, Opera or Edge.

I think they forked from Opera because of the direction #Opera was taking with #Blink. Then #Vivaldi went the same way (?!). For me the main attraction was the built-in #email client and feed reader. #Mozilla nostalgia.

I'm still using good old Thunderbird and Delta Chat. I guess I don't really need an e-mail client. Feed readers are great but I am past the days of subscribing to RSS feeds. I subscribe to ActivityPub now!
